September 9-10, 2023:
G20 Summit: The opening of the 2023 G20 summit, hosted by India, took place on September 9-10. A total of 43 leaders, including the President of the United States, participated in the summit. Various global issues were discussed at the G20 summit, including “One Earth, One Family, One Future,” among others.
June 24, 2023:
Russia Mutiny: Yevgeny Prigozhin, leader of Russia’s Wagner PMC, sparked a crisis by attempting a coup against Putin’s regime, demanding top military officials’ ouster. He halted his “march of justice” after a deal brokered by Belarus’s Lukashenko, but was later assassinated allegedly on orders from Putin’s Security Council secretary.
